Put the Power of love to work

Reclaim the Soul of Your Organization— Your Business Revival Starts Now

A big complaint I hear from highly successful leaders is this: “We’re winning, Moshe. So why does it feel empty, like we’ve lost something critical?”

This happens when the soul of your organization gradually slips away. It’s often not dramatic, and not all at once. And then… it’s gone.

Recognize the Signal

It’s easy to become myopic in the relentless pursuit of scale, speed, and the next competitive edge. Losing perspective is not a personal failing. Once you see it, it can actually be a wake-up call. And, the signal is pointing toward something worth reclaiming.

Call it a Business Revival — a deliberate return to what made great organizations great, before we got so distracted by performance metrics that left out genuine service, care for people, and a commitment to values that outlasts any quarterly target.

The most sophisticated strategy in the world is hollow if people feel empty when they work with you. Profit is never the purpose. It is though a critically important by-product.

Remember, the reason all businesses exist is to meet a real need — not a quarterly target. A Business Revival brings this fundamental principle forward. It means you’re building something as soulful as it is successful.

Instant Thought Experiment

Think of a business or organization you’ve genuinely loved — not just one that served you well, but one that felt like it actually cared. A local shop, a former employer, a vendor who surprised you. What made it feel that way?

Now think about your own organization. Does it give people that feeling?

Sit with that for a moment before you read on.

Mirror: Three Questions to Reflect On

༄ If your organization disappeared tomorrow, would your community feel the loss — or simply find the next available alternative?

༄ Are employees genuinely joining your culture, or are they just doing a job?

༄ How much of your current strategy is advancing your core purpose — and how much is quietly pulling you away from it?

Window Into a Business Movement

The B Corp movement — now more than 8,000 certified companies across 100+ countries — represents organizations legally required to consider their impact on workers, communities, and the environment alongside financial performance. Research consistently shows B Corps outperform conventional peers in employee retention, resilience, and long-term customer loyalty.

Bottom line is this: you can honor people and perform. The Revival isn’t a fringe trend. Whether you call it Conscious Capitalism, the Amare Way, or just “good business” – the revival is underway, and it’s growing.

Door Into Action: 5 Amare Leadership Steps to Spark Your Business Revival

1. Return to your original “why”. Not the mission statement on your website — the actual spark, the need you were meeting. Reconnect your strategy to that origin point. Everything else flows from there.

2. Build community, not just a network. Stop thinking about the people you serve as “users” or “leads.” They’re neighbors and partners, all people. Ask your team what it would take for people to feel genuinely valued in their interactions with your organization.

3. Activate your team as storytellers. Your people are your most credible evangelists. Give them the context, the autonomy, and the real stories of impact — then let them share in their own authentic voice.

4. Practice radical transparency. Share setbacks alongside wins. Keep showing up honestly. Authenticity draws people in, pretense keeps them at a distance.

5. Expand who counts as a stakeholder. Look beyond shareholders. List your stakeholders, one-by-one. Note what you can do to make them flourish that also makes you flourish, and creates a ripple effect too.

Amare Team Talk

Bring this question to your next team meeting: “What’s one thing we do — or used to do — that made people feel like they truly mattered to us? And are we still doing it?”

Let the conversation go wherever it goes. Don’t manage it. The answers will surface exactly where your revival needs to start — and they’ll come from the people who already know.

Your Call to Lead the Revival

The revival doesn’t begin at an offsite or in a strategic planning document. It begins in the choices you make this week — in how you treat your team, your customers, your partners, and yourself. The organizations that will define the next decade won’t be the ones with the most sophisticated tools or the boldest growth targets. They’ll be the ones where people feel real connection, especially as AI and technology grows exponentially.

You can be that kind of leader. You can build that kind of business. Start with one step. Then take another. The soul of commerce is worth reclaiming — and you’re exactly the kind of leader who can do it.

Go for it!
